Lynn Povich began her career as a secretary at Newsweek before becoming a journalist. Following her successful gender discrimination lawsuit in 1970, she was named the first female senior editor in the magazine’s history. Povich was the keynote speaker at the 26th annual Paul Miller Lecture. Povich's book "The Good Girls Revolt: How the Women of Newsweek Sued Their Bosses and Changed the Workplace", was the premise for her talk.
