0:00 Welcome to Oklahoma Gardening!
1:16 Straw Wattle
Host Casey Hentges shows us how we can use a straw wattle, tubes of rice straw manufactured for use in the control and prevention of erosion, to line a perimeter around a garden bed.
8:05 Repotting Orchids
Doug Needham, a former Professor in the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture at OSU, shares with us his wisdom of repotting different kinds of orchids and which potting material will work best for each genus.
17:00 Pallet Garden
Casey wanted to give us an update about the many variety of plants we have growing in our little 4x4 pallet garden we constructed a few years ago. You can grow a lot of produce even in a small space!
See how we constructed this raised bed so you can try it out for yourself!

19:25 Fall Armyworms
Eric Rebek, Professor of Entomology and Plant Pathology at OSU, gives us insight about all the little worms we're seeing eat up our turfgrass. These little guys are Spodoptera frugiperda, or more commonly known as Fall Armyworm. But don't worry! In Oklahoma these worms do not over winter and will die after the first freeze.
