Center for Africana Studies

The Africana Studies Center located in the College of Arts and Sciences at Oklahoma State University is an academically-oriented institution that is committed to an interdisciplinary approach to the advancement of research, teaching, and the general promotion of knowledge of the Diaspora of Africa, with a special emphasis on African Americans. The purpose of this Center is to foster the development of interest and knowledge in the study of the African Diaspora. The Center focuses on all aspects of the social, political, economic, religious, and cultural developments and changes that are related to the African Diaspora, particularly as it relates to North America.
