OSU alumnus Joe Kreger is a rancher by trade. At the age of 56, a flood on the Arkansas River threatened his farm and Kreger began to write poetry as a way to express his emotions. His poems twice earned him the honors of being named Oklahoma State’s Poet Laureate.
