0:00 This week on the Best of Oklahoma Gardening #4825 we take a look at some exhilarating DIY projects!
1:13 DIY Spherical Clay Pot
Host Casey Hentges shows us a fun DIY project we
can create for the garden during rainy or extremely hot
weather during the summer months. We take 41 clay
pots and glue them into a spherical shape. Let us
know down in the comments if you decide to create
one for yourself!
11:22 Laying down Pavers in the Landscape
Lou Anella, Professor of Horticulture at OSU and
Director of The Botanic Garden, demonstrates how
laying pavers in the landscape is as simple as four
easy steps.
16:39 Rubber Lumber Tire Raised Bed
Steve Upson, Senior Horticulture Consultant at Noble
Research Institute, shows us his way of reducing
waste by using old tires to create Rubber Lumber. This
style of raised bed has the ability to grow lots of
produce, made of reused materials, can incorporate
weed barrier and low tunnel, and will last a long time.
