The Oklahoma State University Museum of Art is pleased to introduce Framing History: Highlights from the Oklahoma State Capitol Senate Collection, celebrating artists and their process for capturing the narrative. The exhibition will be on view from July 7 to Oct. 18, with a public reception Aug. 14 from 5-7 p.m.
Co-curated by Senator Charles Ford and OSU Museum of Art Director Victoria Rowe Berry, this exhibition recognizes those who, with a stroke of paint, capture stories as well as create an impression of a historic event. The frames -- works of art themselves -- provide an opportunity to focus on each individual piece and create a window into a moment in time. In this particular collection, the frames create a window into a historical event.
