My favorite on-campus session was with Abby Davis with authentic leadership. We got to write about our why statements and the second I put that into words, with the reason I get up every morning, every sacrifice that I made became easier and almost enjoyable. I'd say that I'm more of a confident businesswoman, more competitive because I know what I'm fighting for. Confidence and networking with Dr. K. It was super applicable to life. You know, a lot of people tell you these skills to use, but don't actually tell you how to go about doing it and how to make those connections, and so it came at the perfect time in my life and I was able to utilize those skills that she taught that morning, later that night. Our very last session about financial literacy, because it gave me a lot of information that people don't usually talk about in a business setting. Last session where we learned how to budget and about our finances and retirement.
Probably in the beginning, when we were first learning how to network and learning our values and how to incorporate that into our leadership and into the business field. All the opportunities, like going to the capitol for the first time, and meeting so many amazing women that are leaders here at OSU. Getting to meet a lot of powerful women and I also loved all of the information we learned throughout the year, because it was a lot of those soft skills and hard skills, that I could apply throughout any career, any club, any setting that I need to. Definitely the people that I met I feel like I made a lot of connections with my fellows and I also got to learn a lot from them and their own personal story and it was just cool to meet new people. Honestly, just being able to connect with a lot of faculty and a lot of fellow girls in Spears who are looking to better themselves.
My favorite off-campus was definitely the Women's Conference, because we got to hear stories from women that have struggled and have fought for everything that they have now and it's just truly inspiring and it made me be more courageous in what I do every day. The women's OSU conference and learning about the Pearls of Wisdom. The leadership conference in Tulsa. I really liked Carla Harris. She had a lot to say about just being a strong woman leader, and just knowing who you are and your worth and I liked that a lot. Definitely the capital and meeting all the Senate representatives and the House Representatives. That was an amazing experience and actually get to sit down and talk to them was amazing to learn their stories and how they got into the field. My favorite off-campus session was the Women's Conference in Tulsa, because I got to talk to and listen to a lot of really powerful women share their stories.
Thanks to LeadHERship Spears, I'm a better woman in business. I'm a better woman in business. I am a better woman in business. I'm a better woman in business. I'm a better woman in business.
