Join us as we welcome Dr. Rebecca Sanders, who will speak about the latest research on the need for and benefits of walkable communities, highlighting how theories and research on walkability have been translated into practice. She will also discuss how accommodating multiple transportation modes creates walkable, desirable places.
Dr. Sanders is a Research Associate with the University of Oklahoma's Division of Regional and City Planning. She studies the intersection between transportation and public health, with a specific focus on pedestrian and bicyclist safety and mobility.
