Michol McMillian Ecklund is the Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for the Callon Petroleum Company in Houston. Prior to joining Callon in November 2017, Michol worked for Marathon Oil Company for 15 years and served in a number of progressive positions within and outside the law organization, including compliance, litigation, human resources, investor relations, corporate communications and tax. She has also practiced law at Baker Botts LLP in Houston. Michol was recently named among the “Women Who Mean Business” in energy and has also been a finalist for the Houston Business Journal’s “Best Corporate Counsel” awards. She is currently President of the Association of Rice Alumni and serves on the boards of the World Affairs Council of Houston and The Woman’s Hospital of Texas. Michol received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Rice University and her Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Harvard Law School.
