REBROACAST: Community Advancing Conversation
From OState TV
"It’s Your Time: OSU African American Women Stories of Success” This roundtable will include five OSU African American alumnae. The structure of the two-hour session will enable each alumna to share her OSU, career, and life stories, as well as offer advice and encouragement to the University community, particularly our African American students. The first hour will consist of an introductory statement of approximately 10 minutes from each roundtable member. The second hour will consist of questions from Jada Lusk, a current OSU junior, majoring in Biology (Pre-Med) and triple minoring in Spanish, Psychology, and Zoology, Dr. LaRicka Wingate, Professor, OSU Department of Psychology, and Dr. Jovette Dew, OSU Assistant Vice President for Institutional Diversity. The moderator for the roundtable is Tika Johnson, Coordinator for African American Affairs in the OSU Office of Multicultural Affairs within the Division of Institutional Diversity. We are excited to have this opportunity to highlight the outstanding achievements of these alumnae. This roundtable is scheduled for International Women’s Day, and will be incorporated into OSU’s month-long celebration of Women’s History Month. As OSU continues to broaden and deepen its commitment to sustaining and enriching our culture of inclusion, this roundtable will be one of the month’s highlighted events.
