Lynda Carrier, OSU Horticulture and Landscape Architecture, has some great performing tomatoes for the home garden that are also potentially healthier because of their high lycopene content. These three varieties of tomatoes come from the University of Florida and you can buy them from their website at:
Klee Lab Research, University of Florida
https://hos.ifas.ufl.edu/public/kleeweb/newcultivars.html
The three varieties include: Garden Gem, Garden Treasure, and W. All three are bred to be better quality, longer shelf life, higher lycopene, and easier to grow compared to the heirloom tomatoes.
